On Tuesday, March 14, three bills designed to support children struggling with hair loss as a result of chemotherapy, will be reintroduced in the Michigan House and Senate.
If passed, the House and Senate bills would require insurance companies to help pay for kids' wigs, treating the hair pieces like any other prosthetics.
Right now, the state of Michigan does not cover the cost of wigs for children.

Meantime, a supporter of the Michigan-based non-profit Wigs 4 Kids has launched a fundraiser to generate funds for a permanent wellness center.
Vince Vitale is trying to raise $1 million to create a specialized environment for children going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
