Woodhaven police say three people were killed, including a child, in a double murder-suicide at an apartment complex on Monday night.
The incident happened at the Marsh Creek Apartments near Van horn and Allen roads.
Police say gunshots rang out around 7:45 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 54-year-old man, a 49-year-old grandmother and a 10-year-old boy dead from gunshot wounds.
Family has identified the victims as 49-year-old Sherry Multop and 10-year-old Christopher Baltzer.
According to police, Multop's boyfriend shot them both during a domestic dispute before turning the gun on himself.
Police say the 54-year-old called police after shooting the grandmother and boy to tell them he was going to take his own life.
Christopher's mother and her 8-year-old daughter were walking up to the scene when the final shot rang out, police say.
Police did recover a handgun from the home and a toxicology test has been ordered on the shooter.
