The body of Ralph Ford, 73, was found covered in clothes in a large dumpster behind the St. Francis Nursing Center on Cadillac Boulevard in Detroit where he lived.
While an autopsy points to Ford dying from natural causes, there are so many questions surrounding his death and now the Detroit Police Department is investigating.
Construction workers reportedly found Ford's body on Monday. But it wasn't until later that day that Detroit Police say workers at the nursing home called to report him as a "serious missing."
Investigators with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs have launched an investigation and could be seen at the facility all day Thursday, but a spokesman would not say if their investigation was the result of Ford's death.
Management at the St. Francis Nursing Center refused to comment.
One relative of a resident at the facility says surveillance cameras are now being installed in the building.
