Three people were arrested and charged after Drug Enforcement Agency agents seized 88 pounds of heroin from a metro Detroit condo.
According to a criminal complaint, Andre Lee Scott, Adolfo Verdugo Lopez and Manuel Arnulfo Barajas are charged with possession with intent to distribute.
DEA agents executed the search warrant around 9:30 a.m. on Monday in the condo on Joyce Lane in Novi.
On a table connected to the living room, they found eight bricks of heroin, according to the criminal complaint, which added up to 11 kilograms.
They seized 40 kilograms of heroin in what they say was "plain view." That works out to just over 88 pounds.
