A Dearborn couple is facing multiple counts of child abuse in connection to the non-fatal shootings of two young children while operating a non-licensed daycare.

Timothy Eubanks, 32 and his wife Samantha Eubanks, 32 are expected to turn themselves in for arraignment on November 2.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office alleges that Timothy Eubanks left two handguns unsecured in an upstairs bedroom. On September 27, around 10:19 a.m., Samantha Eubanks discovered her 3-year-old had shot a 3-year-old-boy in the face and another 3-year-old boy in the shoulder. She was running a home daycare and was watching six children at the time.

The child who was shot in the shoulder was released from the hospital. The toddler who was shot in the face remains hospitalized. The Eubanks have six children of their own.

They have been removed from the home and have been placed with relatives. Timothy Eubanks has been charged with six counts of second degree child abuse. Samantha Eubanks is facing 12 counts of second degree child abuse and two counts of Felony Firearm.
