Detroit firefighter dies after suffering medical emergency on the job

A Detroit firefighter who ended up in the hospital last week has passed away, Action News learned Tuesday.

According to officials, 46-year-old Michael Lubig suffered a medical emergency at his fire station last Thursday that landed him in critical condition at Henry Ford hospital.

Lubig had just completed a 24-hour shift where he and his colleagues made several runs.
