Crews spent hours fighting a massive fire that ripped through a senior apartment complex in Pontiac.

It happened around 6 p.m. Saturday at West Manor Senior Apartments on South Paddock near Auburn.

Everyone was able to make it out safely, but dozens of people are without a home.

Some people were taken to the Boys and Girls Club for the time being.

The Salvation Army and The Red Cross provided food and water to residents.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says a resident was using a barbecue grill on his balcony when it caught fire.

The incident has been ruled accidental.
