The invitation came from Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Rep. Donna Edwards and Rep. Dan Kildee.

The hearing being held on Feb. 10 is titled, "The Flint Water Crisis: Lessons for Protecting America's Children."

"To date, Congress has not heard testimony from you on the Flint water crisis," the letter read. "Seeing how it was your administration's decisions that led to this public health crisis, including Michigan's Emergency Manager Law, we believe it is important to hear testimony from you on this matter."

Also invited are Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, director of the pediatric residency program at Hurley Medical Center, Bilal Kareem Tawwab, Superintendent for Flint School District, Dr. Yanna Lambrinidou, president for Parents for Nontoxic Alternatives and Dr. Eric Scorsone, associate professor & founding director of the Michigan State University Extension Center for State and Local Government Policy.

Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, as well as Reps. DeLauro, Edwards and Kildee will be holding the hearing as they are members of the House Democratic Caucus.

Right now, it's not clear if Gov. Snyder will accept the invitation to testify.
