Alexis Raptis started doing CrossFit about two years ago and she's already one of the best in the sport. The 17-year-old placed 4th in the CrossFit Games in 2015 and aims to win the competition this year.
“Worldwide competition, it’s not a state competition, this is global and to be on the global stage is pretty exciting. We’re just really, really proud of her," says Jim Raptis, Alexis' mom.
“It was like she’d already been doing it, she picked it up quickly and I could tell this was for her,” says Jason Ritchie, Alexis' coach and owner of CrossFit Novi.
Alexis and her family will be traveling to Carsons, California in July to compete in the 2016 CrossFit Games.
