Flint Mayor Karen Weaver is among the movers and shakers on Mackinac Island for the 2016 Policy Conference.
While the Flint water crisis is a hot topic, Weaver is also talking about her city's need for economic development - something she says Flint needs to move forward as the water crisis is resolved.
Weaver says she can see things are moving forward with the water crisis.
"Things haven't moved as quickly as we'd like them to, but they are moving," Weaver says. "And we're happy about that."
However, Weaver also said she would have liked to see money sent to her city to deal with the water crisis sooner. She also said that they're still waiting on some funding, which is hampering the quick replacement of lead service lines.
