A 34-year-old man is in critical condition Sunday night after being shot in the chest on Detroit's west side.
It happened at about 9:05 p.m. on the 8700 block of Michigan Avenue, near Michigan Avenue and Lonyo Avenue in Detroit.
A 19-year-old witness told police he heard five gunshots and observed the victim shot behind the wheel of a Chevy Impala.
An ambulance took the 34-year-old victim to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition, police said.
No suspect information is available at this time.
