(WXYZ) — A Michigan army captain is fighting for his life after a deadly blast in Syria.
Captain Jonathan Turnbull from Gaylord was inside a restaurant with two other American soldiers when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in his vest.
Two service members and two American civilians were killed.
Captain Turnbull is in critical condition and will be flown to Germany.
ISIS is claiming responsibility for the attack.
