Two Michigan State Police troopers are credited with saving the life of an unconscious driver early Sunday.
At approximately 12:55 a.m., MSP received calls of a black Jeep vehicle that hit the wall. More calls described the Jeep barely moving in the middle lane.
The trooper who arrived on scene, identified as Trooper James, recognized that the driver was suffering from a medical emergency.
James was able to get the vehicle stopped. Trooper Kuza arrived on scene and was able to break a window to gain access to the unconscious driver.
Both troopers pulled her out of the vehicle and begin to check for her pulse.
MSP says the troopers began CPR and were able to get a pulse and the driver breathing on her own as paramedics arrived.
"It was the quick thinking of both of these troopers, along with their training, that saved this driver's life," MSP said in a tweet.
