He was convicted of rape and took off before he could be sentenced making him a top priority for the U.S. Marshals.
It was DNA that led police to Llamar Venson, evidence from an untested rape kit in 2004 that identified Venson in 2016 and though a jury convicted him of raping a woman, he’s still on the run.
“Venson was involved in raping a female who was basically unconscious at the time he raped her,” Deputy U.S. Marshal Aaron Garcia said.
A crime that went unsolved for years and a victim of rape was left without closure.
“She has to relive this in 2016 trial, reliving this whole thing and now she can’t even get closure because he’s out there in the wind again, he’s out there running around,” Garcia said.
Llamar Venson drugged and raped a woman in 2004. That rape kit went untested until 2016, then last month Venson was convicted by a jury of first degree CSC.
“Positively identified, not a question, his DNA was there,” Garcia said.
But, he took off before he could be sentenced.
“This guy goes by the nickname ‘animal’ on the streets that’s exactly what he is, he’s a freaking animal,” Garcia said.
Venson has a long rap sheet.
“There’s nothing he won’t do, this guy does not discriminate from crime to crime- as you see, drugs, rape, narcotics, armed robbery – he don’t discriminate – he does them all,” Garcia said.
Llamar Venson is 32 years old, 6-feet-tall, 185 pounds with tattoos and a small scar on his forehead.
Police have a good idea where he may be, but they need your help to put him back behind bars.
“We believe this guy is going to be in the area of Nevada, Conant, east side, northeast side – that’s his area, he likes that east side,” Garcia said.
