Less than a month after giving birth to a healthy baby calf, April the Giraffe's calf has finally been named.

The announcement happened Monday on Good Morning America.
And the name of the calf is...Tajiri. It means hope in Swahili, according to park officials.
For the last few weeks, the zoo has been holding a contest to name April the Giraffe's calf. For about 10 days, anyone could vote on any name or names they choose and even could decide on their own spelling.
The 15-year-old giraffe delivered her calf in April, shortly before 10 a.m. It was her fourth calf but the Animal Adventure Park's first giraffe calf.
