Police are investigating a threat made against students at Utica High School in Shelby Township over the weekend.
The threats were reported to police after concerned parents were made aware during a school drama performance.
Police said they made contact with the student and his parents to investigate the matter.
Sources tell 7 Action News the student told fellow classmates to wear red to symbolize blood. We're told weapons were removed from the home.
"School is going to open tomorrow and we are taking necessary precautions so students will be safe," said Tim McAvoy, district spokesperson for Utica Community Schools. "We worked with Shelby Township police."
