Police say a 34-year-old man was arrested after robbing a woman and stabbing a man in Sterling Heights after a St. Patrick's Day celebration.
We're told the suspect took money and credit cards from a woman's purse at Dooley's Restaurant on Hall Road Thursday. A man then confronted the suspect about the theft and that's when the suspect pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the 48-year-old victim, according to police.
We're told the man was stabbed in the chest and arm. He is now being treated at a local hospital.
The suspect is set to be arraigned today on charges.
Police say the suspect and a woman befriended the couple earlier in the night and were sharing a table before the incident.
