Ann Arbor police are investigating after the death of a high school student Tuesday.

Police say the body of 18-year-old Jordan Klee was found at the Pinelake Village Cooperative on Adrienne Drive.

A maintenance worker found the body after hearing gunshots, according to police.

Police said this is a homicide and confirm Klee died of a gunshot wound.

Investigators are not sure what Klee was doing at the Pinelake Apartments, since he does not live there and he should have been in school at the time.

"We're just not sure at this point why he was there at that particular time of day there are not a lot of people that are in that complex, we're tracking down witnesses," said Det. Lt. Matt Lige with the Ann Arbor Police Department.

Klee was a 12th grader at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. Counselors were on hand during class today.

At this point police do not have any leads. If you have information call the Ann Arbor Tip Line (734) 794-6939.
