The brother of police shooting suspect, Raymond Durham, says his 60-year-old brother is not a violent person but that he's had mental health issues for decades.
Emory Durhan says his brother began having problems shortly after a workplace accident in the 1970s.
A large piece of steel hit a young Raymond Durham in the head and Emory Durham says his brother has never been the same since then.
Emory says their parents, both now deceased, tried to have Raymond institutionalized, but it never happened because Raymond would never consent.
Emory says Raymond is on medication and chooses to live in various abandoned homes.
