A semi truck erupts in flames last night, after losing control on I-75 in Detroit.

Thankfully the driver was able to walk away from the accident with only minor bumps and bruises.

Driver Kat Mercer says, "It's kind of a lesson to truck drivers. You don't want to be going fast in the rain around a curve, man."

The truck jackknifed around 8:30 pm, causing traffic headaches for drivers stuck on the highway.

Heavy equipment was brought out to clean up the mess.

Some drivers were close to the action.

Joe Puzniak told us, "Next thing I know I heard two explosions and saw two tires on fire rolling down the highway at us."

The truck had been hauling furniture. No word of what sparked the fire.
