You never know what could be going on inside your neighbor’s house. They could be doing things that could very well put you and your families’ lives in danger.

Detroit police and fire discovered an illegal second hand dealer operation.

What’s that? It’s when thieves steal goods from homes or other places and sell to low lives, who shell out cash for the pilfered property.

This shady underground business was on the 15000 block of Heyden, on the city’s west side.

“It appears to be stolen goods, from floor to ceiling,” says lt. Rebecca McKay.

Some of the items uncovered were massive and extremely hazardous, such as propane tanks, kerosene containers, Freon canisters, hot water heaters, air conditioner units, furnaces and more.

First responders used a number of large vehicles to remove the items and did so well into the night.

The police investigation will be time consuming.

Investigators are hoping to return the stolen items to the rightful owners.

However, that will be a tall task. Police say, all of the transactions were made illegally, so there are no receipts or records.
