"For something like this to happen, it just completely shocked me," said a 52-year-old man who doesn't want us to reveal his identity but told Detroit Police and 7 Action News about a frightening experience inside Motor City Casino.

Shortly after casino personnel handed him $5,000 in one-hundred dollar bills for winning on an automated roulette machine, the man we'll call "Tim" went to the bathroom where he says another man held him up at knife point.

It was just after midnight Tuesday.

Tim says the man holding the knife had been sitting next to him for a couple hours, trying to make small talk. But then after seeing Tim win, followed him into the restroom on the second floor and robbed him.

Tim was not injured. And the armed robber got away but he's described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, weighing about 200 pounds with a beard and dreadlocks. The suspect had been wearing a black t-shirt and camouflage shorts.

As you can imagine, there is an extensive surveillance camera system inside the casino. Detroit Police are still working on retrieving images of the suspect from casino personnel.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Detroit Police at 313-596-1340.
