The Detroit Federation of Teachers called for a second day of teacher sick-outs in Detroit Public Schools.
This morning, the district announced that 94 schools would be closed due to teacher absences.
Interim union President Ivy Bailey messaged members Monday night and said they are still "locked out".

More than 90 Detroit Public Schools were closed Monday due to teacher sick-outs after Bailey called for them on Sunday afternoon.

Bailey says the district does not have enough money to pay teachers after June 30.
The cash shortage affects teachers who decided to have their paycheck spread out over a 52-week span and continue to receive paychecks during the summer.
