Michigan State Police say the shooting that killed two Detroit rappers was not random and was in fact the result of an "ongoing feud."

Early Sunday Morning, Domiique Brown and Ramell Campbell, also known as Mell, were found shot and killed inside a vehicle on I-94 near Livernois.

Michigan State Police say multiple shots were fired over a stretch of I-94 leading to the area where their car was stopped.

MiHeadlines.com reports that multiple bullet holes could be seen in the passenger side of the car, and it is believed around 30 shots were fired.

Bertha Matthews says her daughter was a great mother to her two children and was trying to live her dream as a rapper.

"You have taken my only daughter away from me and there's nothing in this world that could bring my daughter back. I'm going to keep you in my prayers along with your family because everybody has their day and they will soon get theirs," Matthews says.

Police continue to investigate the shooting and are checking leads on some suspects.
