A suspect is in custody after two people were killed and another person was injured in a house fire early Monday morning on the city's east side. We're told the fire is being investigated as a homicide.
The fire happened at Hoyt and Manning streets which is near 7 Mile and Gratiot.
Three people were pulled from the home after the fire started around 2 a.m. A man and a woman in their 20s died from their injuries and a third man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The fire is out but investigators are on scene and the Detroit police department crime scene unit is also investigating. They are investigating the fire as an arson.
7 Action News has learned there was some sort of fight at the home on Sunday night and police were called to the home.
