The Fisher family is lucky to be alive after a fire broke out in their mobile home in Chesterfield Township.

12-year-old Austin was the hero.

He saved the family by thinking fast and shouting out a warning.

"Our 12-year-old son was screaming to get out," Austin's father Richard said. "My wife couldn't get out the door. Flames and smoke came into the bedroom."

The fire occurred at 4:30 a.m, with flames quickly spreading through the house.

"I crawled over to my brother and sister's room and woke them up," Austin said. "I couldn't see anything."

All five family members were able to get out. One firefighter had minor injuries.

The fire appeared to be electrical, starting in a utility room.

The Fisher family lost everything, just as they were recovering from a major health issue.

"We lost our whole life," Richard said. "I suffered a stroke and we were trying to get back on our feet."
