The man convicted of murdering Chelsea Bruck faced a Monroe County judge Thursday and was officially sentenced to life in prison.
A jury found Daniel Clay guilty of first degree murder at his trial in May.
During the sentencing, Bruck's mother said she has chosen to forgive him, but she will not forget. She also gave him a bible, which Clay says he will keep.
Clay also said he was sorry and the he didn't mean for any of this to happen.
Bruck vanished after a Halloween party in 2014. Her body was found six months later.
