Fight to keep convicted rapist behind bars in Monroe County

The Monroe County Prosecutor's Office is fighting to keep a convicted rapist in prison.

Charles Lee, 54, was granted parole, but a court order is keeping him behind bars for now. He was set to go out in two weeks.

According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Lee was convicted of rape and armed robbery in 1989, spending 17 years behind bards. He was out in 2006, but in the same year was charged for aggravated talking.He's also been linked to other sexual assaults.

The prosecutor's office believes he is a threat to society, and the assistant prosecutor is quoted as saying he's a dangerous sexual predator.
