They painted words of hate in an Ann Arbor alley, but as they committed the crime cameras were rolling. Now Ann Arbor Police are asking for your help bringing three young men to justice.

They released video surveillance of three individuals alleged to be responsible for spray painting hate graffiti in Ant Alley, which is in the 600 block of East Liberty, in the early morning hours of September 16th. It is just off the University of Michigan campus.

If you have driven by the alley you might have noticed murals featuring giant ants and other art work.

Police say one of the young men painted “Free Dylan Roof I hate N———.” on a mural.  The other two acted as lookouts.  Cameras recorded suspects walking away from the scene.

Police are hoping someone recognizes them and turns them in to Ann Arbor Police.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Ann Arbor Police Department tip line at 734-794-6949 or email TIPS@a2gov.org.
