EMU Hockey donating proceeds to Taylor family

The Eastern Michigan University Hockey team plays its games at the Taylor Spotsplex, the same place where a 7-year-old girl was killed and her mother seriously injured in a shooting earlier in the week.

EMU Head Coach John Bartle said the Eagles hockey team will be donating all proceeds from Friday and Saturday nights' games to benefit the family of Emma and Sharon Watson.

Both were gunned down on Thursday night by 57-year-old Tim Obeshaw while sitting in their car after soccer practice.

The Eagles take on Western Michigan University on both Friday and Saturday night with both games starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Taylor Sportsplex, located at 13333 Telegraph in Taylor.
