Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward for the shooter of a 59-year-old River Rouge man.
Wayne Smart was killed on Sept. 18. He was found in his bedroom, fully dressed with a gunshot wound to the head.
There was no forced entry into his home. The incident happened in the 500 block of Superior St. near Eaton St. in River Rouge.
Smart worked as a real estate contractor and also served as his neighborhood's handyman.
He is survived by four children and cared for his mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's, until the time of his death.
If the tip that leads to an arrest is received by midnight Thursday, $1,000 will be added to the award for a total of $3,500.
