Harper Woods teen charged with disturbing the peace

A 14-year-old Harper Woods high school student was charged with disturbing the peace after allegedly making threats about shooting students.

The alleged behavior was observed by a staff member and the respondent was suspended pending an investigation.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged the teen with one count of disturbing the peace and one count of assault and battery. 

Although no physical contact was made, the teen is charged with verbal assault.

His bond is set at $1,000.
