Michigan State Police are searching for a killer, after a young father was shot to death in Inkster Thursday.
Police say 30-year-old Robert Hicks was found shot to death Thursday afternoon, at a house on Wayland Court.
hey believe after he was shot, he tried breaking into the house, most likely looking for help.
Hicks' father Leroy Watson tells us, "Robert was loved. There's a lot of people that loved him."
At first, family arrived on scene not knowing if it was there loved one who taken away.
Investigators also tell us, Hicks would have survived his injuries if he was able to get timely medial attention.
Police want to know how long his body was there. State police towed away a vehicle from the house, and as of Thursday night, had not talked to the homeowner.
