Startup companies looking to get some extra cash, interest-free, now have that chance thanks to Quicken Loans "Detroit Demo Day."

The annual event, which officially begins Tuesday, looks to either boost business in the city, or give those willing to move to Detroit an extra incentive.

One hundred companies will make it to the second round. Then, 20 finalists from that round will pitch their business plans on May 25 at Detroit's Gem Theatre.

The top eight finishers will receive anywhere between $50,000 and $200,000 to make up the $1 million prize.

You can apply to pitch your business during "Demo Day" byclicking here. April 14 is the deadline to apply.
