A student connected to making threats to L'Anse Creuse High School has been charged with False Report or Threat of Terrorism, a 20-year felony.

It was reported that Shane Robinson, 17, made threats to "kill everyone in the room" in his sixth hour class on March 14.

Detectives interviewed him, and he referred to himself as "demonic." Police say he expressed his dislike for the "popular kids" in his sixth hour class and admitted to making threats to sew one of the students' mouths shut.

Robinson also reportedly admitted to telling a student he was going to stab them.

He was given a $150,000 bond.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said his office has investigated 26 school threat complaints since February 16.

"We take every school threat seriously and will investigate each of them thoroughly to hold those committing criminal acts responsible," he said. "Our students, their families and school staff need to feel safe in the educational environment."

"These types of statements, whether made in jest or some other form, will not be tolerated."
