Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information on the murder of 24-year-old DaJuan Jenkins.

Jenkins was killed on the evening of February 4 in the Coyle Street area between Fenkell and Chalfonte after accepting and Uber request.

According to the family, Jenkins left his family around 3 p.m., saying he was going to drive for Uber. Later that evening, Jenkins received a pickup call at the Coyle location.

When he arrived to the location, a dark-colored pickup truck with high beams on pulled head-on in front of Jenkins' car.

Jenkins then exited his vehicle and shots were fired at him. He was hit by gunfire, robbed of his phone and cash and later passed away from his injuries.

Police say two people were inside the pickup truck. Jenkins was driving his black 2013 Hyundai Accent.

The 24-year-old studied a culinary arts program at Dorsey School and had hopes of opening his own restaurant.

Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP.
