The Tigers will join the Red Wings in honoring Mike Ilitch on their uniforms this season.
A jersey patch will appear on Tigers uniforms, a team official told WXYZ.
Ilitch, who owned the Tigers and Red Wings, died last Friday.
We have not been told what the patches will look like, but the Tigers will begin wearing them in Spring Training.
