EAST LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Talk about "missing the mark." Literally.
Sports Illustrated published a regional cover this week mistakenly identifying Michigan State's head coach as "Mike Dantonio."
The cover, which features a photo of quarterback Connor Cook, includes a reference to the article with the erroneous title "How Mike Dantonio Rebuilt the Spartans."

This is not the first time Dantonio has been misidentified by a national sports media outlet. During a series of interviews and show appearances on ESPN in August, Dantonio had his name mispronounced and misspelled on multiple occasions.
UPDATE: Sports Illustrated issued an apology for the mistake and released a look at the corrected cover.
