Kris Draper says we'll see Steve Yzerman suit up for another outdoor game, this time in Denver.
Draper, now an executive with the Red Wings, was on hand for Monday's press conference at Coors Field. Colorado will host the Stadium Series game against Detroit on February 27, 2016.
The alumni game was on his mind.
"What we went through in 1996 to 2002, I guess it's going to be interesting to see how that game plays out," Draper told the Denver Post.
Draper said the Red Wings will have Yzerman, Paul Coffery, Sergei Fedorov, Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Osgood, and Mike Vernon. He said he's working on recruiting Dominic Hasek.
Darren McCarty already committed to play in the game, opposite Claude Lemieux.
The February 26 alumni game will also see Avalanche greats Joe Sakic, Patrick Roy, Peter Forsberg, Rob Blake, Adam Foote, and Milan Hejduk.
