Larkin took a high stick to the face at the 12:43 mark of the third period. On his next shift, he scored a goal to break the scoreless tie.
Later in the third, he set up Henrik Zetterberg on a goal that sealed the game.
"It woke me up. Maybe I should take a stick in the face every game," Larkin said on the Red Wings postgame show on Fox Sports Detroit.
'Dylan Larkin' was trending nationally on Twitter Friday night.
