DETROIT (WXYZ) — ARISE Detroit! will host its 11th annual Neighborhoods Rising Summit, Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Five free virtual workshops (listed below) will offer residents strategies to help support their block clubs, churches and community groups in the age of COVID-19. The workshops will deal with adapting to changes in funding, efforts to build community relations with law enforcement, social justice, entrepreneurial survival skills and creating a more equitable Detroit.

PUBLIC SAFETY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE: What is being done to build better relations between law enforcement and the community. What is being done to eliminate racial and economic disparities in our legal system.
Workshop 4
12:45 p.m.-1:45 p.m.
ENTREPRENURIAL SURVIVAL: What small businesses are doing in securing funding, revising their business models and being creative to remain open and serving.

2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
CREATING EQUITY IN DETROIT: What is the investment, civic and foundation community doing to create more inclusive and diverse economic opportunities for Detroiters.
