53rd Art & Apples Festival underway in downtown Rochester

ROCHESTER, MICH (WXYZ) — 53rd Art & Apples Festival underway in downtown Rochester through Sunday, Sept. 9.

This year's family event includes the works of over 250 artists, along with lots of great food and a variety of musical artists. Returning festival favorites include Denise Davis and the Motor City Sensations, a Motown- revue and an extended selection of other musical acts from Latin Jazz to Sinatra-inspired to powerful local Marching Bands. All performances will be located on the main stage in the Rochester Municipal Park and are upbeat to make guests get up and dance year after year – which is encouraged. The musical line-up is as follows:

Saturday, September 8

9 - 10 a.m. Rochester Adams High School Highlander Marching Band
10:15 - 11:15 a.m. 2nd Street Studio of Dance
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. LL7 Latin Jazz
1 - 2 p.m. 3rd Degree Burns, young musicians
2:15 - 3:45 p.m. Deborah’s Stage Door Center for the Performing Arts
4 – 5 p.m. After Blue, soul, jazz and alternative
5:15 - 6:15 p.m. Erica Mourad, singer songwriter
6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Denise Davis & The Motor City Sensations, Motown inspired

Sunday, September 9

9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Rochester High School Falcon Marching Band
10:45 – 11:45 a.m. Eisenhower Dance Ensemble
12 -p.m. – 1:30PM The Swing Shift Orchestra, swing
1:30 p.m. Artist Award Announcement
1:45 – 2:45 pm., Melissa Lee, country
3 – 4 p.m. The Legend Brothers, remembering the legends (best of Rat Pack and others)
