7th Annual Blake’s Lavender Festival taking place July 12-14, in Armada

ARMADA, Mich. (WXYZ) — Discover the beauty and benefits of lavender at the 7th Annual Blake’s Lavender Festival taking place July 12-14, 2019 in Armada, Mich.

The popular mid-summer event attracts tens of thousands of people annually to celebrate the wonders of lavender, its natural health and wellness attributes, support Michigan-made artisans, all in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
Highlights this year include more than 100 artists and vendors featuring a variety of hand-made products from textiles, woodworking, glass, pottery, jewelry, body care, food and more. In addition, festival attendees can enjoy entertainment by local musicians, pick-your-own lavender, activities just for children and tasty lavender-infused treats from lemonade and ice cream to donuts and cupcakes.

Throughout the three-day festival, there will be a series of educational presentations on topics such as biophilia, nutritional benefits of lavender, gardening, mindfulness, beekeeping and more from companies such as Michigan State University, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan, SmallHouse Farms, MIGardener, Planterra and others.
