ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI (WXYZ) — It's that time again! Dr. P. Steven Wainess is hosting his 9th annual Halloween Candy Buy Back event.
It takes place on Sunday, Nov. 3rd from 1-5pm at 30140 Harper Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI.
During last year's buy back, 1,234 lbs of candy was collected. That's equivalent to 30,849.75 tootsie pops! The collected candy is donated to U.S. troops, wounded warriors and first responders around the world through Operation Gratitude. They say it's like Christmas when they receive one of these care packages. This year's event is dedicated to Veterans.
