'Annie' to premiere at Grosse Pointe Theatre June 16

GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. (WXYZ) — "Annie" will be showing at the Grosse Pointe Theatre from June 16-29.

Award-winning Director and Choreographer Timothy Higgins leads the 40-member cast of ANNIE, which will be the closing production in Grosse Pointe Theatre's 71st season.

“This is a delightful, entertaining and inspiring show for the entire family," said Higgins. "There is something for everyone, You may find yourself relating to the challenges of hard luck times, the determination of the human spirit and the hope of 14 orphans as they dream of a life of joy, acceptance and love."

There will be nine performances from June 16 - 29. Evening performances are at 8 p.m.; Sunday performances are at 2 p.m.; and there is an added 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, June 22. All performances will be held at the Christian A. Fenton Performing Arts Center at Grosse Pointe North High School in Grosse Pointe Woods.
