(WXYZ) — Making sure kids are ready when they head back to class -- that's the goal of a back-to-school backpack giveaway, Friday in River Rouge.
Organizer Tarence Wheeler talked about the giveaway and about teaming up with celebrities like Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons.
The backpack giveaway is happening Friday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at River Rouge High School, 1460 W. Coolidge.
