Blake's 100-acre U-Cut Tree Farm now open for the holiday season

ARMADA, Mich. (WXYZ) — The holiday season has begun and Blake’s U-Cut Tree Farm in inviting visitors throughout Southeast Michigan to explore, select and cut the perfect Christmas tree now through December 23.

Blake’s 100-acre tree farm of more than 100,000 trees includes Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Blue Spruce, White Pine, Balsam Fir, Concolor Fir and Scotch Pine varieties. The U-Cut Tree Farm is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers saws for use, wagon rides, tree cleaning and wrapping. Trees vary in price based on variety and height. Blake’s also has a pre-cut tree lot for those who want to simply pick and go. U-cut trees are available up to 12-feet, larger varieties are available in the pre-cut lot.

Visitors can make a day of it by shopping at Blake’s Apple Barn Holiday Market featuring a wide range of gifts and holiday décor. Santa will be making regular stops at Blake’s through Dec. 15 each Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. for great holiday photos. The Tasting Room and Cider Mill will also be open year-round offering fresh baked goods, a full-service restaurant, craft cider and beer and cocktails. And for the first time ever, Blake’s Tasting Room invites you to dine outdoors in heated igloos. This unique experience will be offered through March 1. Each igloo accommodates 8 – ten guests comfortably. Advanced reservations are required.
