With food truck season rapidly approaching, Comfort Café a contemporary food truck providing comfort foods with a twist is firing up the burners with an updated Detroit-inspired menu. Comfort Café is kicking off its season on March 25, 2018 at 10am during the "All Things Detroit" event in Eastern Market.
“The Belle Isle”, the newest item named after the beloved city landmark is a Detroit staple: 2 All Beef Coney Dogs topped with Beef Chilli Onions & Mustard. The twist? The hot dogs are fried. The favorites making a return are “The Cadillac”, a Golden fried chicken & cornbread waffle sandwich topped with Collard Green slaw and drizzled with Sriracha Maple Syrup, Vegetarian approved sandwich “The Dequindre Cut”, Black Eye Pea and Brown Rice Patty topped with Guacamole and pickled onions on a pretzel bun and “The Joy Road”, the three cheese blend macaroni and cheese that brings joy with each bite.
