Detroit Parks & Rec host annual Easter Fun Fest  at Historic Fort Wayne on Saturday, March 31

There will be plenty of family fun at the annual Easter Fun Fest on Saturday, March 31 at Historic Fort Wayne. The free event, sponsored by the Detroit Parks and Recreation Department, is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.   

The theme for the day is "Peter Rabbit" with events for all ages - including the Youth-Adult Egg Hunt and the "Egg-Mazing Race!"  Children will enjoy make-and-take crafts, face painting, prizes, and more. Young preschoolers will also enjoy their own safe play area with tot-sized games and activities. Participants will be able to interact with live animals, courtesy of the Nelson's Wildlife Safari.  Easter egg hunts are scheduled throughout the day for various age groups.  All participants will enjoy candy, carnival games, face painting, inflatables, prizes and more.  The entire family is welcome.  Concessions will be available for a nominal fee.
