A brand new festival is coming to town, Royal Oak Holiday Glow!
This two-day festival will be taking place on Washington Avenue between 5thAvenue and 7thAvenue on Friday, Dec 7 and Saturday, Dec 8. The event will feature hot-air balloons, Santa Claus, a Holiday Winter Marketplace, live ice carvings and more!
A 7,200 sq. ft. enclosed heated tent will be placed on Fifth Avenue. The tent will feature unique holiday gifts from local crafters, live music and bar.
Horse drawn carriages and wagon rides will also be taking place Friday and Saturday evenings to view the beautiful lights throughout downtown. Carriages hold up to 6 people (4 adults / 2 children) and wagons have 18 seats. Due to popular demand, rides must be purchased in advance at https://www.universe.com/events/royal-oak-holiday-glow-tickets-royal-oak-P4XW3Y. Tickets will not be sold at the event.
Family and friends can also participate in the Cookie Crawl event taking place on Sat. Dec. 8 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the Holiday Glow. Several hundred people are expected to participate in the Cookie Crawl event. Each person who purchased a ticket will receive a Royal oak Holiday Glow commemorative cookie tin and will crawl from business to business in the Downtown area to collect delicious holiday cookies that were baked by local bakeries, including Herman's, Holiday Market, Gold Fish Tea, Love & Buttercream, The Cookie and Crumb, Holy Cannoli's and Mia's Bakery.
